Northrop Grumman is seeking a Field Engineering Services Manager to help support a program located in Aurora, CO.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Candidate will be responsible for providing direction toteam members and other functional managers on satellitegroundoperations &maintenanceactivities.

  • As a part ofthe functional management team, the candidate will manage highly qualified/motivated Field Engineersin accordance with department and program goals that support the Air Force’s premier missile warningsystem.

  • He/she will be responsible for evaluating performance with team Leads and communicating appropriate plansand actions to implement effective solutions.

  • This position is also responsible for project tasks to include coordinationof detailed plans across multiple groups, development of comprehensive plans, and coordination across multipleorganizations.

  • This position requires the ability to manage and provide status on multiple projects concurrently.

  • Abilityto perform cost account planning, schedule planning, and variance analysis on cost and schedule reports.

  • Candidatecoordinates and attends team meetings, interacts with customers, attends technical meetings.

  • Candidate must becustomer service oriented, with an ability to develop and maintain relationship with site support personnel.

  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned commensurate with performance or due to business needs.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Candidate must have a solid System Engineering background in ground communications, space systems or related field

  • Candidate must have at leasta Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 7 years of experience; 12 years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree

  • Candidate must have an active Top Secret/SCI clearance, within the last 2 years, and a current background investigation,last 5 years

  • Candidatemust demonstrate strong interpersonal skills working with senior program customers as well as militarycustomers

  • Candidate must have the ability to travel between Aurora, CO, Boulder, CO., and Colorado Springs, CO. 10% of the time, with possible OCONUS travel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Must have the ability to develop project schedules, cost account plans and other technical documentation, such asrequirement specifications, Concept of Operations and Basis of Estimate documentation for proposals

  • Familiar with ground communication systems from the architectural level to the field implementation level

  • Must have excellent decision making capability, people management skills, and be capable of interfacing with all levels offunctional and program management

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering/physical science or closely related field and 3 years experience
