Raytheon Principal System Engineer Implementation Lead in Aurora, Colorado

Job Description

Raytheon is looking for a Principal System Engineering Implementation Lead to join the GPS OCX Engineering Team. As an Implementation System Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for the early identification of issues with the Block 1 schedule and technical implementation. The Implementation System Engineering Lead will work across the program areas to create options and alternatives to address issues and make recommendations to management.

This role will participate in both the development phase and the support and operations phase of the program life cycle by providing technical leadership across a set of development teams comprised of developers from a multi-contractor team. Responsibilities and scope also include:
· Support SEIT in tracking segment level technical issues to closure; focusing on issues that require inputs from morethan one IPT.
· Provide cross-IPT technical leadership and coordination
· Provide leadership and support to enterprise system demonstrations with both internal and external mission partners and associated components
· Participate in program readiness and design reviews
· Represent the organization in matters pertaining to the project at technical interchange meetings
· Operate under minimal supervision; guidance received relates primarily to general objectives

Required Skills:
· Experience developing a technical baseline(requirements/architecture) and leading a development team through implementation
· Experience leading technical Analysis of Alternatives(AoA) and/or Trade Studies
· Experience in systems engineering and architecture development of software intensive systems
· Experience in applying technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques to solve problems
· Experience in the development and review of Engineering Change Requests
· Experience as the technical representative for the program at technical interchange meetings
· Experience in risk and opportunity analysis, tracking and mitigation
· Experience in proposal development and writing
· Experience in the execution of DoD programs
· Experience in systems engineering processes and techniques
· Experience in conducting system engineering, analyses, and trade study activities using structured techniques
· Experience with the integration of COTS and/or Free and Open Source Software
· Must have an existing SECRET clearance

Desired Skills:
· Experience using DevOps development methodology
· Experience with the GPS OCX program and OCX development methodologies
· Experience with Six Sigma tools and techniques
· Information Assurance (IA) experience

Required Education(including Major): Bachelor's degree in engineering or related scientific discipline
