Responsible to create a great experience for our Guests and our Team Members while maintaining a clean and safe environment. This position must meet all performance assessment and financial goals.


  • Adhere to Guest Service standards for the position.

  • Strategically train and develop for succession Assistant and Associate Managers and hourly Team Members

  • Supervise all aspects of employee relations including, but not limited to, hiring, coaching, mediating, recognizing, and evaluating Assistant and Associate Managers and hourly Team Members

  • Resolve beverage quality and service opportunities; communicate with appropriate Team Members and leaders on Guest feedback

  • Implements, adheres, and monitors all department and property policies and procedures including but not limited to standards of conduct, attendance, appearance, cash handling, confidentiality, safety, signature sequence of service, and sanitation

  • Maintain the morale of the department through open communication and teamwork by deploying targeted communication strategies that inform and build support

  • Interact with Guests and Team Members by maintaining a visible presence in Guest areas during peak business periods

  • Comply with all training initiatives including, but not limited to, attendance of all required participants, ongoing assessment of individual or department performance, and follow-up

  • Manage all financial operating expenses including, but not limited to, budget, P&L, labor costs, controllables, and cost of goods

  • Analyze and recognize any deficiencies or problem areas and provide corrective action to accomplish desired results

  • Adjust or balance the size of staff in order to control labor costs without sacrificing Guest service

  • Work with all departments to successfully execute Ameristar strategies to maximize efficiencies and improve the Guest and Team Member experience

  • Perform all administrative duties as required to successfully manage the department

  • Ensure accountability for all compliance issues, regulations, laws, and health requirements as related to food and beverage operations


  • Strong problem solving, mediation, coaching, and consulting skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

  • Knowledgeable of applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Fully Competent in Microsoft Office

  • Ability to develop and sustain productive Guest relationships

  • Ability to train, mentor, and develop team

  • High organizational skills and ability to complete several ongoing activities, projects, or assignments to meet deadlines

  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of energy and enthusiasm

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to interpret and explain company policies and procedures to others

  • Ability to follow all policies and procedures including, but not limited to, attendance, appearance, safety, and security policies

  • Ability to accept direction and coaching from supervisors, and adjust behaviors accordingly

  • Ability to obtain support for ideas and actions from direct reports, peers, or supervisors in order to accomplish a task or goal

  • High school diploma or certificate from educational institute required.

  • College degree preferred.

  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in food and beverage required.

  • Minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience required.

  • Able to obtain and maintain a Colorado Support Gaming License.
