Quantum Corporation Import Export Compliance Departmentcomplies with worldwide laws governing the exports of technology and products.We apply solutions to solve compliance challenges. As an integral part of theGlobal Import Export Compliance Department you will be responsible for a widearray of compliance activities including complying with the ExportAdministration Regulation (EAR), Office of Foreign Asset Control(OFAC), and foreign government agencies. The successful candidate willresearch and classify software, hardware, or 3rd party products and submitclassification requests to relevant government agencies, or applications forexport licenses for controlled products or technologies and maintainingcorporaJob Duties:- Responsible for export compliance, reviewing foreign national candidatesand submitting export license applications to the BIS and maintaining records.- Run and evaluate required compliance background checks for customers,suppliers, contractors and employees.- Apply US and Non-US Customs regulations to business transactions ensuringCustoms compliance in all countries where the company conducts business.- Provide export/import compliance guidance to all functional areas on aworldwide basis- Prepare license applications (Domestic and international)- Responsible for classifying and maintaining products, materials and services- Facilitate/coordinate product reclassifications per export control reform- Determine the applicability of ECCNs and the use of Commerce exceptions- Create and verify all commercial and regulatory documents as needed tofacilitate the shipment of orders and the importation of goods. Includingcommercial invoices, packing lists, SED's and SLI's.- Additional responsibilities as neededJob Requirements:- 8+ years' experience in import/export compliance and related matters.- Bachelor's degree preferred.- Strong working knowledge of all Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS)Export Administration Regulations, Transportation Security Administration(TSA) regulations, Incoterms, and other US and foreign governmentregulations as regards export and import compliance- Experience with ERP's such as Oracle, SAP, etc.- Experience with export controls applications such as Trade Automation,TradeSphere, Descartes, etc.- Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.- Proven ability to think independently and handle multiple projects throughto completion.- Demonstrated sound judgment, diplomacy, analytical ability andprofessional demeanor.- Ability to deal effectively with ambiguity and change- Must be able to receive supervision or criticism, communicate with othersand provide guidance to others in a team environment.- Ability to convey information to others effectively in person, bytelephone, and in writing so others can understand.- Ability to analyze information and to use logic and reasoning to identifythe strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions orapproaches to problems.- Ability to analyze information and evaluate results.- Ability to increase efficiency and improve operations.PI97851398
