A day in the life…

The successful Business Analyst candidate is detail-oriented with a proven ability to drive business process definition in support of process led development efforts. This individual will work closely with business and technology team members, the Project/Program Managers, and vendors to drive forward progress towards the delivery objectives. The ideal candidate will combine knowledge of credit business with experience in process analysis and design.

  • Independently discover, analyze and document business and customer experience processes in order to clearly understand and translate needs into process designs and business requirements

  • Analyze conditions using critical thinking and problem solving to make timely, effective, holistic decisions regarding options, priorities and customer impact

  • Elicit and analyze product, service and project/program requirements from stakeholders and critically evaluate against business impacts and solutions relative to both long and short-term business objectives; reconcile conflicts and decompose high-level information into actionable details

  • Collaborate with others to formulate creative ideas or solutions to move project forward

  • Drive, organize and maintain project artifacts through documentation and versioning

  • Drive change management planning, communication, execution and service

  • Transition final project deliverables to internal partners and vendors ensuring full understanding of plan, design, and detailed business requirements

  • Participate during user acceptance testing for system enhancements including planning, preparation, execution and documentation of test case results to ensure original business requirements are met

  • Coordinate closely with business stakeholders, technology partners, and vendors to develop and document cross-functional processes and change management plans ensuring effective communication and stakeholder satisfaction

  • Partner with the Project/Program Manager to understand project scope, adhere to project deliverables and timelines, and identify, track, and resolve project issues and risks

  • Participate in planning, organizing and guiding tracks of work, including estimating work effort required to complete tasks and navigating unexpected changes and/or obstacles

  • Meet ongoing and overlapping deadlines in a fast-paced environment effectively multi-tasking workload and coordinating dependencies with other groups

  • Managing multiple projects and programs simultaneously

  • Continuously improve work methods to increase overall efficiency and quality

  • Tailors message to audience ensuring appropriate details (high or low level) are communicated appropriately

  • Guides/Mentors junior level analysts and new team members

  • If necessary, step into the role of Project Manager at times


You own this if you have…



  • Bachelor’s degree in business or technical related field,or equivalent combination ofeducation, training and/or experience

  • Minimum of ten years combined experience in process analysis, large scale implementations and requirements documentation

  • Experience in Financial Services industry preferred

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Visio; working knowledge of SharePoint preferred

  • Proven ability to manage time productively while rapidly adapting to changes in priority

  • Ability to drive work efforts with strong attention to detail and excellent follow-up skills

  • Ability to build strong relationships, gain confidence, and effectively communicate and work with teams, business partners, external vendors and leadership

  • Superb ability to translate business and customer needs into recommended solutions, process designs and technical requirements

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • Able to establish and maintain cooperative and positive working relationships.

  • Organized, detail-oriented, diplomatic, proactive, self motivated, dependable, and driven by excellence

  • Even-tempered and able to balance multiple tasks in accordance with changing deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
