Director - Global Commercial Channel Managment (WD30036153130)RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:Under general direction, leads commercial excellence for the global productsselling to channels organization. This role is a part of the Global ChannelSales and Operations leadership team focused on driving local marketstrategies related to channel development, channel management and commercialbest practices across the global product sales teams to focus on helping ourcustomers win and driving sustainable growth within Building Technologies andSolutions' Global Product business.PRINCIPLE DUTIES:Leads the development and deployment of the overall channel sales andoperations playbook including the development and maintenance of the GlobalChannel Management playbook of processes, tools and best practices. Leadsthe education, plan and execution to regions on best practices andcommercial approachesPartners with regional leadership to drive local adoptionand implementation of playbooks globally, assisting in development of localbest practices and content Leads development and deployment of channelsmanagement maturity assessment including oversight and direction on regionalplans to drive improvementSupports Johnson Controls Operating System for worldclass channel sales excellence including channel sales models and supportingtool sets. These models and tools will allow Johnson Controls to be known as'one of the best channel sales companies to sell for. Actively seeks,captures, and makes available to the entire channel selling organizationbest practices and techniques that lead to profitable growth in market shareacross all channels. Develops channel sales programs to aid sales strategiesand growth programs as required.Partner with IT on Channel sales technologyrequirements (e.g. tools and systems)Leads the development of ChannelSales metrics to support operations reviews with committed methods and KPIsthat gauge health of channel management effectiveness.Performs other dutiesand projects as assigned.LOCATION: Role can be based in any major US metro market.#externalQualificationsEXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree required in business, engineering, marketing, orequivalent experience. MBA or other graduate-level degree preferred, orequivalent combination of education and work experience.10 years' channelmanagement experience including 5 years' experience in sales preferablywith Building and Technology and Solutions products sold through company owned(direct) and indirect channelsExperience in developing, designing andexecuting complex business strategies and implementations to all technical andnon-technical audiences in a highly matrixed organization. Experience inleading change management including organization structure change andalignment. Experience with the Salesforce Community platformdesirableDemonstrated organizational credibility in achievement deliveringresults and leading people over an extended period of time. Solidunderstanding and knowledge of our company and industries we serve, andability to coordinate different parts of organizations to achievesuccess.Strong planning, financial and analytical skills, with provenability to apply these skills with deft business acumen to complex situationswith competing priorities.Proven expertise in developing and utilizing amanagement operating system to drive sales performance.Familiar with CustomerRelationship Management (CRM) technology and process to leverage formaximum effectiveness.
