JOB DESCRIPTION:
You will report to the Task Order Lead or Program Manager providing Advisory and Assistance Support within Headquarters Air Force Space Command. Specifically, support will be provided within one or more of the areas listed below. Applicant resumes should identify specific areas of expertise or experience in these functions.
Operations including Missile Warning/Missile Defense (MW/MD), MILSATCOM, Cyberspace, Situational Awareness/Command and Control (SA/C2), Training, Test, Exercises, Tactics Development, Precision Navigation and Timing (PNT), Launch/Range, Space Protection, Space Control, Space Planning and/or other space and cyber related operational missions
Career Field Management and Development
Intelligence and Threat Assessment
Logistics and Sustainment
Deployment management experience with AEF and FAM experience
Requirements Development including Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) or JCIDS process
Program Element Monitor (PEM) support including POM and PPBE experience
Communications and Information
Strategy, Policy, Doctrine, Wargaming and/or Lessons Learned
Public Affairs
Financial Management
Senior executive staff support (former executive officers, Commander’s Action Group, or Director of Staff experience)
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
HQ AFSPC staff experience, either active duty or contractor
Demonstrated ability to prepare Flag officer quality staff products
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task and turn staff products rapidly in a dynamic environment
Proficiency with MS Office Suite
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
HQ AFSPC staff experience within the past 3 years
Familiarity with NGeS and/or or other HQ staffing tools
Retired NCO or officer with cyberspace and/or on-console space operations background
Director of Staff or Executive Officer experience
Weapons Instructor Course (WIC) graduate
Most positions require US citizenship with an active DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility. Some positions may require only a Secret clearance.
