The Technical Manager will apply the skills and talents of ourengineering team in order to provide the most value to the organization andour customers. This requires some technical expertise as well as strongpeople management and Human Resource (HR) experience, as the TechnicalManager will be expected to understand technical needs of our customers andtherefore must be able to set priorities across our engineering team. TheTechnical Manager will proactively work with our engineering team to developtheir skills and to build a cohesive team environment. The technical managerwill need to understand the skills and interests of the team and make surethat those skills are being developed to meet both current and future needs ofthe organization. The Technical Manager must have top-notch people skills andmust be able to effectively set and articulate performance goals andstandards. They need to be able to evaluate individual performance againstthose goals and provide meaningful and constructive feedback to the peoplethey manage.
