General DynamicsMission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to developsolutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:The Network Test and Analysis Engineering Lead will be responsible for leadinga team for infrastructure test execution and planning within themulti-contractor Integration and Test (I&T) Functional Area of theMissile Defense National Team for Command and Control, Battle Management,and Communications (C2BMC). Coordinate, develop and execute detailedtest plans and procedures to test C2BMC infrastructure and network designimplementation in an integrated environment or to test specific capabilities.Execute test of network devices communication paths and capacityperformance; conduct post-test data analysis and reporting. Create testDiscrepancy Reports to document issues and assist development with theinvestigation and resolution of issues. Review and comment on testabilityissues, obvious design flaws, anticipate data collection points andcoordinate development of plans for and conduct of anomaly test and analysisas required. Perform network management and monitoring of C2BMC lab networksto include development applications and associated hardware.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Must be a self-starter with stronginterpersonal and problem solving skillsMust have the ability to workeffectively in a fast-paced team environment. Must be able to supportoccasional travel.Experience with DoD test methodologies and infrastructurerelated test/analysis planning and execution; planning and execution oftest data collection; and test data analysis and reporting. Must be able tocritically assess network designs; expertise in network management systems(such as sidewinder firewall functions and software)Must have a workingknowledge of Tactical Data Links (J/K series)Extensive experiencenetwork trouble shooting procedures and best practicesExperience with networkchallenges associated with systems integration, including COTSintegration, capacity analysis, and system architecture designMust haveKG-175 experience; experience with Ballistic Missile Defense System(BMDS) element communication architecture across satellite and terrestrialpaths.
