Job Description This position is in direct support of the Shared Early Warning System (SEWS) Program Office. Individual will perform as a member of the LM SEWS Integrated Product Team (IPT) in support of the SEWS Program Manager, IPT Lead, and the SEWS Government Program Office. Duties will include System Engineering (assist in the design and analysis of user needs, hardware/software solution recommendations, system configuration recommendations/planning/coordination), Systems Administration (software loading/modifications, system integration testing, workstation configuration, database administration, software configuration management, configuration/testing for CISCO communications routers), Equipment Installation and Test (site surveys, Contractor Installation Plans (CIPs), installation, communications cabling, Visio drawing development, hardware configuration management, documentation, resolution of equipment problems, and training), periodic metrics reporting, operator/user training. Will utilize engineering skills to research, develop, test, and document Research & Test (R&T) initiatives, assist in project installation and test plans as appropriate. SEWS Help Desk Support duties will include working with remote users to identify and resolve hardware, software, and communication problems, documenting problems and performing failure trend analysis, providing recommendations for system modifications to reduce frequency of repair, and periodic 24/7 pager responsibility. Skills are also desired for technical position as a Systems Engineer in the SEWS Theaters and their requirements.
Excellent communications skills (verbal and written) are required.
Position is located at Peterson AFB and will require local, domestic, and/or international travel.

Basic Qualifications Significant Systems Engineering and Systems Administration skills are required relative to Sun/Oracle Workstations, Microsoft Windows Workstations, Database Administration, Cisco networking equipment, HW and SW Configuration and management, point-to-point and network connectivity, system configuration, analog and digital encryption methodologies, VoIP, BGAN, GOTS/COTS Integration and Test. Familiarization with training for both US and Foreign Military. DoD 8570 requirement for IAT II level certification.
Desired skills Desired skills include familiarity with Theater Event System (TES), Global Command and Control System (GCCS), Missile Event Information (MEI), Tactical Receive Suite (TRS), Multi-Mission Advanced Tactical Terminal (MATT), Embedded National Tactical Receiver (ENTR), equipment installation and testing, Visio drawing development, COMSEC and Information Assurance, as well as operator training. Prior SEWS and technical experience as a Theater Lead System Engineer is a plus.
