Branch Sales Manager - Commerce City, COSummary: The Branch Sales Manager is responsible for assigned activitiesrelated to his/her respective Branch as well as the Broadline StrategicBusiness Unit. These activities include the sales budget, marginmanagement, sales growth, market share, customer profit contributions,training, people development, human resource needs and enforcing policyand procedures. The position is a key management position and thereforecontributes significantly to business results and future strategy of theBranch and Strategic Business Unit.Responsibilities:* Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accomplish Branch andStrategic Business Unit goals* Manages and directs sales force to achieve sales and profit goals. Directssales forecasting activities and sets performance goals* Designs and recommends sales programs and sets short and long term salesstrategies in line with those of the Broadline Strategic Business Unit* Evaluates and implements new sales skills / techniques to increase salesvolume and increase margins* Recommends product or service enhancements to improve customersatisfaction/loyalty* Ensures that projects are completed and within the budget projections* Acts as advisor to the sales teams/DM's and Regionals regardingprojects, tasks and any operational issues* Analyzes data and market intelligence to determine sales and profitpotential by region/team/customer segment* Works with and recommends to Supply Chain emerging products and life cycleof products* Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations in line withBranch and Strategic Business Unit strategy and results* Meet with existing clients and targeted clients to maintain or develop newrelationships* Coordinates liaison between sales department and other areas of theorganization* Analyzes and controls expenditures of the Branch to conform to budgetaryrequirements* Support BPI process / DSI Initiative and works on collaboration withshared services in an effort to achieve key objectives* Share sales successes and learnings with other Branch Sales Managers* Branch resource and responsibility for communication of competitiveactivities and trends* Owns voice of the customer communication for Branch* Achieve the net profit budget for Street teams as measured by the teamstatement and Broadline Strategic Business Unit profit and loss statement* Achieve sales goals as measured by monthly statements* Achieve margin goals as measured by monthly statements* Achieve expense goals as measured by monthly statements* Create competitive advantages in products or services as measured by P&Lwith Branch staff* Support Shared Service objectives by collaborating to achieve EnterpriseobjectivesQualifications:* Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from college or university; or 10 to 15years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination ofeducation and experience* Well rounded skills in all functional foodservice sales management areas andvery strong customer relation and negotiation skills* The ability to easily and effectively communicate with a broad range ofpeople at all educational and experience levels* Strong people skills; strong verbal/written communication skills,ability to easily and effectively communicate with a broad range of people atall educational levels* Strong team approach to management* Strong commitment and established track record of processes documentationand improvement. Become certified in BPI within 6 months of accepting position* Possess leader and motivational skills, bias towards field work* Must be flexible in work schedule which includes overnights, weekends,holidays , and travel when neededLocation: Colorado Foods Office
