17006829JOB SUMMARY The purpose of this position is to provide business operationsadministrative support to a department and/or manager.Temporary role that provides flexible scheduling and hours vary on schoolschedule/availability from part-time to full-time.College students (Junior, Senior, MBA Level) are encouraged toapply.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Types, formats, and producesdocuments such as proposals, presentations, correspondence, and standardreports. Establishes and maintains record keeping and filing systems.Maintains calendar and contact database, schedules appointments, completestravel or conference arrangements and may arrange meetings and conferences foran assigned work group. May perform administrative duties specific todepartment such as, conducting research, updating databases, andpreparing collateral materials for mass mailings. Completes expense reportsand handles reconciliation of receipts for a designated work group.Responsible for opening, sorting, prioritizing and distributing inboundmail. Coordinates services for outbound mail. Answers phone calls with regardsto inquiries, researching and resolving problems requiring knowledge ofdepartment policies and procedures. Other duties may be assigned. SUPERVISORYRESPONSIBILITIES No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree(GED) and a minimum of two years of related experience and/or training.CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES NoneCOMMUNICATION SKILLS Ability to comprehendand interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and askclarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reportsand correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints fromclients, co-workers, and/or supervisor. Ability to effectively presentinformation to an internal department and/or large groups of employees.FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE Requires general knowledge of financial terms andprinciples. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages. REASONINGABILITY Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standardsituations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires basicanalytical skills. OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES Intermediate experience withMicrosoft Office Suite.
