General Summary:The Administrative Services Clerk performs clerical duties to include dataentry, fax & mail processing, and support of the Administrative ServicesDepartment.Essential Responsibilities:1. Performs accurate and timely documentation and direction of messages fromall sources including voicemail, email, patient portal, and Answering Service.2. Documents correspondence from multiple sources in a master trackingspreadsheet.3. Compiles statistics or other information, as directed.4. Researches unidentified patient correspondence received in unit.5. Scans outside documents into patient medical records, or transfers toMedical records as defined.6. Word processes routine, standardized projects such as correspondence,reports and lists.7. Performs as a back-up to staff absences and vacancies, as necessary.8. Duplicates documents, processes mail, makes distributions and sets upand maintains filing systems.9. Orders and stocks supplies and equipment to assure uninterruptedservice, as necessary.10. Performs all other duties as assigned.General Responsibilities:1. Performs, as directed, safety compliance and uses Personal ProtectiveEquipment (PPE), as needed.2. Participates in Quality Assessment (QA) and Quality Improvement(QI) programs, as directed.3. Ensures compliance with The Joint Commission and all other Federal,State and Regulatory Agencies.4. Responds promptly and sincerely to customer s needs, requests andconcerns via all communication forms using easily understood language andrefraining from using inappropriate language and non-verbal gestures.5. Maintains positive working relationships as a team player through problemsolving issues, speaking positively about others, listening attentivelyand observing the Patient Bill of Rights and Confidentiality.6. Increases customer service knowledge, skill and ability byparticipating in department and institution-wide specific programs.7. Incorporates National Jewish s identity (Science TransformingLife ) into daily functions. Speaks positively about the institution,provides customers with prompt service, maintains a clean and safe workingenvironment, dresses appropriately based upon National Jewish safetystandards, and departmental policies and wears an ID badge visibly.Knowledge and Skills:Demonstrated ability to read, write and understand English and perform basicarithmetic computations. Demonstrated skills in filing systems andinterpersonal contact. Skills in Microsoft Word and Excel required.Demonstrated attention to detail and independent decision making.Education:High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.Work Experience:A minimum of six (6) months administrative experience required.- or - Any equivalent combination of Education and/or ExperienceWorking Conditions:Position is in an office environment. Frequent requirements may include:sitting for extended periods, entering and manipulating data on aworkstation computer and participating in team/executive meetings.Approximately 75% of daily responsibilities will be working both one-on-oneand in teams with other personnel and extended one-on-one contact in a quietenvironment where hearing and listening is paramount. Must possess theability to communicate by observation, verbal, written and listening;standing; walking; climbing stairs; stooping to remove/replacefiles; good hand-eye coordination; lifting, pulling, pushing, andupper body twisting while handling supplies and equipment; sitting whilecompleting paperwork; using keyboard for PC and word processing needs.Occasional requirements may include: stand, walk, use hands tomanipulate, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach withhands and arms, stoop, kneel, and lift/move up to 25 pounds.Incumbent may be scheduled to work an alternate schedule to accommodateessential business needs; routine travel by foot or automobile to alternatework/meeting locations may be required, possibly during inclement weather.Environmental Conditions:No environmental conditions ind
