Application Testing Analyst – Denver, CO


The Application Testing Analyst (ATA) will be dedicated to the Unified Client and Active Directory projects within the Infrastructure strategic integration programme and will report into the Service Delivery Manager in Denver. The ADA will be responsible for testing, both initial operational testing and business testing where appropriate, of all applications (approx. 1000) in the desktop estate on the new Active Directory platform and Windows 10 SOE


  • All responsibilities for testing sign off of all applications within the estate on the new Active Directory and Windows 10 build.

  • Complete the application testing phase within the project timeframes.

  • Communication and interaction with application owners and identified business users.

  • Support other application testing team members when and where required.

  • Documentation, in the agreed format, of all testing results.

  • Writing and executing test scripts.

  • Running manual and automated tests (performance, stress, functional).

  • Present findings and feedback to the application packaging team.

  • Assumes additional duties as assigned.

  • Will potentially require occasional out of hours work including bank holidays and weekends.

Technical Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working on previous Windows O/S migration project.

  • An excellent knowledge of an enterprise application testing process.

  • An understanding of packaging, configuration and testing of Windows desktop software for mass delivery in a locked-down multi user environment.

  • General Windows support and configuration experience.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and able to communicate with business users, multiple support teams and third party application providers.

  • Good problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Entrepreneurial by nature with a strong sense of ownership.

  • Highly motivated with a passion for technology and technical detail with a can-do attitude.

  • Good attention to detail.

  • Experience of working in high-pressure environments and able to meet deadlines.

  • Desire to follow best practice and development standards as agreed within IT.

Working Environment/Physical Activities

  • PC usage up to 100% of the time.

  • Basic office equipment such as telephone, fax machine, copier, etc.

  • May be required to work more than 40 hours in a week on short notice. This may include weekend/evening/holiday hours.
