Instructional Design Manager - NetSuite Professional Services

Preferred Qualifications

Oracle NetSuite Consulting Services is looking for an

imaginative Instructional Design Manager who can lead and develop our team of

Curriculum Developers for the NetSuite Professional Services Enablement team.

The ideal candidate is an energetic individual who is experienced as an instructional designer and team leader within

a learning & development team. You will be adept in instructional design

principles, e-learning development, maximizing the effectiveness of learning

programs, designing long term training

strategy, and mentoring other members of the Enablement team.

Primary Responsibilities & Objectives include:

  • Team leader

responsible for the development and scaling of the instructional design team

and its capabilities

  • Provide coaching and

leadership support in the areas of learning solution design, measurement, and

project management

  • Conduct needs analysis

with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to define instructional

objectives, business outcomes, and overall requirements of Professional Services

  • Develop overall

training curriculum using appropriate instructional design methodology and

development tools

  • Design enablement programs using a variety of solutions, such as

e-learning, instructor led training, job

aids, and performance support resources

  • Lead the development

of high profile enablement programs designed for a variety of audiences

  • Create and select

effective media elements that enhance comprehension

and interactivity; aiding in mastery and retention of the course objectives and


  • Evaluate the

effectiveness of learning programs and develop strategies that lead to improved


  • Conduct on-going

content reviews with consultants, project managers, trainers, and key contacts

to ensure that materials are accurate, effective, and meet the training needs

of Professional Services

  • Maintain and update materials

to ensure content is relevant and


Preferred Qualifications include:

  • 5 years instructional

design experience working within a high-growth, global enterprise

  • BS or MA degree in instructional design, educational technology

or similar

  • Strong leadership skills and the proven ability to manage and

motivate a team to achieve organizational goals

  • Established success in an environment where you are required to

think quickly, make sound decisions, and adapt to changing priorities

  • Demonstrated ability to create engaging, interactive, and

effective training and performance support materials that support the course

learning objectives

  • Strong advisor/partnering skills to work effectively with peers,

subject matter experts, and other business partners

  • Deep knowledge of

leading-edge training platforms and technologies

  • A history of fearless

hands-on product use and an uncompromising customer advocate mentality

  • Experience working

with and leading geographically distributed teams

  • Exceptional written English, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a

style that is both assertive and direct, as well as supportive and


  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure concepts and technologies

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

As a member of the Consulting organization, you are responsible for ensuring that a quality, integrated software solution is delivered in a timely manner, at budget, and to our client

  • s satisfaction. This involves working closely with the client to understand and manage their expectations, as well as working closely with Oracle and third-party vendors to ensure delivery.

Provide engagement delivery services both as an individual and as a team member. Services include identifying needs, developing, influencing and implementing proposals. Able to lead, support and participate on project teams.

Leads a specialized area which may have diverse functional elements. Frequently interacts with supervisors and/or functional peer group managers. May interact with senior management. A BS or BA in related fields. 7-9 years overall experience in functional or technical role. Two years experience in multi-dimensional issue resolution. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Willing to travel regionally with some national travel.
