Job Title:Material Coordinator Job Summary:The On-Site Material Coordinator (MC) position is responsible forestablishing, maintaining and organizing materials, tools and equipment onthe job site. The MC role works collaboratively and respectfully with allinternal staff and external vendors and subcontractors, to meet both projectand company objectives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Build and maintain relationships with supervisors, peers,administrative staff, field craft workers, field supervision, vendors,and subcontractors based on respect, trust and integrity. * Work closely with Foreman to assist in the organization andmaintenance of on-site job materials and tools commonly used. * Coordinate the order and delivery of material and equipment in orderto meet deadlines and maintain stock of job materials. * Coordinate and fill material orders in an efficient and timelymanner. * Consistently communicate with Foreman and purchasing departmentregarding material on site, purchase orders, and back ordered items. * Receive and check in material orders ensuring accuracy of order anddelivery. * Ensure the security of the materials and storage facilities. Qualifications: * Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required forpreparing, analyzing, monitoring, reporting and presenting data;experience in Windows 2007 operating system environment. The ability toevaluate and learn new software applications. * Interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills arenecessary to professionally and effectively communicate. Minimum Requirements * Minimum one year experience in electrical construction industrypreferred. * Clean Motor Vehicle Record is required to drive personal or companyvehicles for business purposes. * Must have the ability and willingness to operate equipment such as aForklift and do so in a safe manner. * Ability to multitask, organize and prioritize work assignments foraccurate and timely completion. * Possess a positive attitude toward career development and companyprocess/policy improvement.
