Title :Pediatric Clinical Coordinator Emergency Department
This position supports the mission of Rose Medical Center to ensure appropriate care is provided to children of all ages, including those with special health care needs. The Pediatric Clinical Nurse Coordinator (PCNC) will be responsible for developing pediatric specific policies and competencies. The CNC will be responsible for implementation of standards of care, staff orientation and annual competencies for pediatric care in the emergency department. The PCNC will work with the department director and the pediatric medical director in establishing appropriate standards of care. The PCNC will assist with ED pediatric QI/PI activities and will serve as a liaison to appropriate inpatient nursing, referral hospitals, hospital affiliated with RMC, EMS agencies and other medical resources needed to integrate services for the continuum of care of the pediatric patient. The PCNC will assist in the development of disaster preparedness needs specific for the pediatric population and will participate in hospital disaster-preparedness activities.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: RN License in the State of Colorado. Compact license acceptable but must obtain Colorado state license within 90 days of hire. Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications through American Heart Association. Emergency Department (specific) ENPC, TNCC are required within 6 months of hire. Prefer CPEN certification.
Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing; BSN desirable. Activity in professional organization recommended.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of pediatric emergency nursing experience required. Minimum of 1-2 years management experience preferred.
