Booz Allen partners withpublic and private sector clients to solve their most difficult challengesthrough a combination of consulting, analytics, mission operations,technology, systems delivery, cybersecurity, engineering and innovationexpertiProject EngineerKey Role:Provide comprehensive technical expertise and domain knowledge in specificlaunch vehicle disciplines to provide the New Entrant Certification teamproducts and services critical to the successful assessment of launchservices. Provide project engineering support for all system engineering andintegration tasks for the New Entrant Certification Team (NECT). Supportmajor reviews, including Configuration Control Boards, system readinessreviews, preliminary design review, critical design review, functionalconfiguration audit, and Engineering Review Boards, interface orcoordinate with NASA or NRO, and provide necessary inputs. Perform projectengineering and develop products in support of the NECT in technicalreviews, including Engineer Review Board, System Verification Reviews(SRV), and Chief Engineer Review Board (ChERB), system levelrisks, test plan reviews, certification reports, NECT IPT inputs, andCCB inputs. Investigate solutions to product or process problems andconsolidate the results of mechanical design elements for assigned projects.Coordinate the efforts of drafters and designers, engineering technicians,and machine shop personnel, as required by assigned projects. Conductindependent technical investigations involving the origination or modificationof material, component, or process specifications and requirements.Basic Qualifications:-10+ years of experience as a project engineer-Experience with launch vehicle hardware analysis and design-Experience in manufacturing engineering in aeronautical or a related industry-Experience with aeronautical or launch system engineering-Secret clearance-BA or BS degreeAdditional Qualifications:-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills-Possession of excellent time management and organizational skills-Possession of excellent leadership skills-MS degree in Mechanical Engineering preferredClearance:Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may needto meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information;Secret clearance is required.Integrating a full range of consulting capabilities, Booz Allen is the onefirm that helps clients solve their toughest problems by their side to helpthem achieve their missions.
