Chs Inc. Sales Agronomist in Denver, Colorado

CHS Aligned Solutions is partnering with a large member cooperative in northcentral Colorado to find an experienced Sales Agronomist to be part of theirdynamic team. Our ideal candidate will be a customer facing individual fordeveloping new business potential while retaining old business.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Frequent sales calls to develop relationships and learn customer needs andoffer correct solutions.Sound recommendations from knowledge of crop nutrients, crop protection,seed and insect/disease management.Create and assist in implementation of new products, new processes, andnew programs intended to mutually benefit the producer and coop.Forecast fertilizer and chemical needs and coordinate with Director of Saleson purchasing, pricing, and programs.Maintain records of sales contacts and submit reports on a regular basis.Keep detailed records of all transactions, maps, soil tests, etc. to thehighest standard applicable.Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times.Be responsible for keeping or attaining needed credentials for the position.Keep current on industry safety regulations and company policies as specifiedin the employee handbook, and abide by the same.Keeps records and files reports on use of pesticides and special use ofchemicals as required by law.Schedules seminars and meetings to update producers on changes in productregistrations and environmental laws.Performs other duties or assignments as directed by V.P. of Agronomy orAgronomy Sales Manager.Qualifications:B.S. in agronomy or related field; Certified Crop Advisor Certification or aminimum of 4 years in an agricultural sales or related field.Must be knowledgeable in all aspects of crop production, - vegetables, dryland, and irrigated.Must have some knowledge of ornamental tree and turf production andmaintenance.Must have good math skills and computer skills.Ability to frequently transport up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/ormove more than 40 pounds.Must have and maintain a current Commercial Pesticide Applicators Licenseissued by the State of Colorado.Must become CCA certified within four years.Must maintain a clean MVR.Additional Details:This Member Co-op is an equal opportunity employer and offers competitivesalary and benefits.
