GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE

JOB

The Sr. Director of

Mobile Development will be responsible to drive DaVita’s strategy for mobile

development in the integrated care arena with a strong focus on kidney care.

Mobile portals will provide access to patients, providers, payers, and service

providers to enable workflows that interact with data stored in the cloud or on

mobile devices, originating from sensors, meters, EMRs, etc. as well as manual

data entry. The target platforms for DaVita’s mobile portals include dedicated

apps for iPhone, Android, and windows smartphones, iPads/tablets, and include

html5 type portals.

The ideal candidate will properly identify and support the appropriate

frameworks for the mobile portals to enable synergies across the various

platforms and form factors while striving for a differentiated user experience

that will be recognized in the market place. The position will require analysis

of the competitive landscape, ensuring DaVita will be ahead of its competitors.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties and

responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are

  • Responsible for owning anddriving the DaVita mobile strategy

  • Responsible for developing bestin class user experience through user interfaces that excite, appeal, anddrive a differentiated customer experience.

  • Responsible for ensuringarchitectural and design compliance for all internally and externallyexecuted mobile portal development projects

  • Responsible for driving thetest automation strategy around the mobile platform and portals, workingside by side with the Testing team.

  • Responsible for identifying andmanaging strategic partnerships for the DaVita mobile platforms strategyas well as working with internal departments to formalize thosepartnerships

  • Working with internal andexternal stakeholders to identify mobile platform needs and requirementsand serving as a point of contact for mobile platform domain expertise

  • Representing the mobileplatform needs in Early Stage Development as well as and Full Stageprojects

  • Responsible for presentingrecommendations and influencing key business stakeholders on decisions inthe area of mobile platform deployments

  • Responsible for ensuringcompliance with all relevant regulatory requirements for Mobile MedicalApps and keeping DaVita current with the regulatory landscape

  • Supporting the agile softwaredevelopment process

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education, licenses,

certifications, and experience required to fulfill the essential duties,

include computer skills as required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer

Science or equivalent

  • 10+ years of experience in

software development

  • 5+ years of experience in

managing complex enterprise software projects

  • 5+ years of experience in

managing people

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to comprehend complex

problems and good problem solving skills

  • Experience in Agile softwaredevelopment as well as TDD, BDD, Continuous Integration
