Aboveall, we believe that collaboration is the best way forward.Primary ResponsibilitiesHDR is currently in need of an entry level structural engineer in ourDenver, CO office to support HDR's growing dams and civil works practicewithin our Denver operations along with ongoing structural bridge andtransportation related inspection projects. The preferred candidate has abackground in civil structural engineering related to bridges and civil works.The successful candidate will be responsible for project execution within theDenver office. The primary duties of the Structural EIT are to conductanalyses, perform hydraulic structure and bridge inspections, developdesign options or recommendations, assist in the preparation of costestimates and specifications, and write reports for structural projects(bridges, dams, canals, navigation locks, flood protectionstructures, ancillary structures etc.). Perform engineering assignmentsthat may require critical thinking and creativity to address unique structuralelements that have limited or no specific code based guidance. Resourceful andcomfortable with both field and office assignments. Work independently onsmall projects or assists more senior engineers on larger projects. May givedirection to clerical and technical personnel. QualificationsRequired Qualifications* Requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.Master's degree is preferred.* Previous Structural inspection, asset management or design experience(internship or full-time work experience) is a plus.* Registration as an Engineer-in-training (EIT).* Computer knowledge (Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, MathCAD, SAP2000 orsimilar analytical software).* Must possess strong interpersonal, speaking and writing skills.* Excellent team player with ability to function effectively in a variety ofroles on integrated project teams.* An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of ouremployee-owned culture is a must.Why HDRAt HDR, we know work isn't only about who you work for; it'salso about what you do and how you do it.
