Production Technicians participate as a team in a high volume, light manufacturing environment. Duties include operating high speed bottling or packaging equipment, loading raw materials, equipment troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, quality control inspections, sanitation of the line and data recording. Technicians must maintain work station in an organized and clean manner to ensure safety and Good Manufacturing Practices. Interact with production team members, quality assurance technicians, and maintenance technicians to maximize output and efficiency. The pay for this job is $14.50/hour and after a year the pay goes up to $16.50/hour.
Main Responsibilities:
-Operate, clean, and service production equipment (e.g. Injection Molds, blow molders, bottle fillers, labelers, case packers, wrappers, palletizers,etc.)
-Perform and record preventative maintenance activity on workstation equipment
-Conduct quality inspections on processes, raw materials and finished products
-Troubleshoot and basic equipment problems and make basic repairs
-Read and use manuals and diagrams
-Perform mathematical Calculation (multiplication, division, averages, and percentage calculations)
-Record and chart production output and equipment downtime
-Use computers to input data via general applications (e.g. Excel, Lotus, Word)
-Adhere to good housekeeping standards at work station
-Conduct equipment changeovers to accommodate production demands
-Solve problems in independent and team settings
-Work flexible hours which range form a 8-12 hours
-Be Willing to work on weekends and holidays if necessary
-Have good physical stamina
-Lift up to 50lbs ( 5 gallon Bottle)
-Understanding of processes & mechanics of all line equipment
