We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to lead the ongoing technology solution definition effort supporting the Engineering and IT organizations at Hitachi Vantara. The key responsibilities include driving alignment on requirements and needs with geographical stakeholders through workshop facilitation, interviews, system demos, visual documentation, use cases identification, and business process analysis. In this role, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your outstanding communication through various mediums, provide strong leadership, and the ability to promote change and transformation into the business community through a consultative approach.
• Lead cross-functional meetings for requirements, planning and scoping sessions with internal stakeholders and external vendors • Interface with business customers to develop project roadmaps which align to business objectives and sequenced by priority and resource availability • Collaborate with technology subject matter experts to define scope, create estimates, develop budgets and project plans and produce documentation needed for funding approvals • Facilitate operational meetings, providing updates on project status, issues, risks, escalations, and change requests • Track change requests and determine impacts to timeline, resources, and project cost before aligning on next steps • Monitor, track and prepare project reports, dashboard and summaries • Manage the delivery of defined scope and deliverables according to the dates and milestones established while adhering to enterprise release schedules • Manage the alignment between Engineering, IT and Operations for software and licensing models and procedures for new applications and solutions releases • Coordinate with 3rd party vendors on application support issues, defects and enhancements • Cross-functional test coordination to define testing strategy, write test scripts, and execute unit and end-to-end testing and test results read-outs • Collaborate with global business leads on testing the enhancements or defects deployed • Identify, log and triage issues, coordinating with development teams to be resolved in a timely manner • Develop and update application documentation for seamless hand-off to support analyst team
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology Management or related discipline • Minimum 5 years of direct experience • Experience using enterprise-wide requirements definition and management systems and methodologies • Knowledge of all phases of software development including requirements/story gathering, analysis, solution design, development, testing (unit, integration, end-to-end user), implementation, and support • Experience supporting Engineering and IT organizations • Experience managing IT, Operations and Infrastructure projects • Excellent interpersonal, communication, project management and leadership skill • Knowledge of the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) along with Agile and Waterfall frameworks • Experience delivering business value in an agile, fast-paced environment • Experience with SaaS software, Service Now, Oracle ERP and Flexera a plus • Knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and the force.com platform a plus • Experience with project issue and tracking tools such as JIRA • Strong analytical skills; demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
