DISH is looking for a Project Manager to join our In-Home Services PMO team to oversee and implement various projects. These projects can be of various degrees of complexity and often include the coordination of numerous groups and/or departments. The IHS PMO team is responsible for assisting in gathering requirements, vetting these requirements with key stakeholders, setting goals and deliverables across all teams within IHS, in addition to enterprise level strategic initiatives. This role has ultimate responsibility for all assigned projects, manages customer satisfaction, definition, planning, monitoring, execution and others aspects of a project. Time management, project management, detail orientation, and effective communication will be essential skills for success in this role.

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

  • Define and clarify project scope including requirements; develop the project plan and the project schedule and work with stakeholders to identify the proper project team and structure.

  • Manages the planning, development, design, and implementation of assigned project or program. Including tracking schedules, resources, issues, due dates, tasks and monitors project’s expenditures against the budget.

  • Organize and facilitate project planning, kickoff meetings, status reviews, retrospectives, and other project related meetings. Build relationships enterprise wide, and successfully work across departments to coordinate and communicate with various groups and key players and identify risks and mitigation strategies; Monitor project progress.

  • Create and distribute meeting notes, status updates, risks, etc. to stakeholders and project team members and develop reporting, communicating the direction, significant milestones, and results as well as plans and coordinates the administration of new processes and plans.

  • Track progress and review project tasks to make certain deadlines are met appropriately, and assess project issues and identify solutions to meet productivity, quality and customer goals Work collaboratively with others to maintain thorough knowledge of capabilities, and to ensure that all communications between departments and stakeholders are precise.

  • Manage resources assigned to projects in regards to project efforts; create project plans and project schedules; provide project management leadership from inception through deployment Communicate, negotiate, and manage the scope of the assigned project to ensure that expectations are set concerning the project’s deliverables, timeline, and costs.

A successful Operations Project Manager will have the following:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree from a four-year College or university strongly preferred; and four years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Project management experience, PMP or other Project Management certifications are a plus.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to communicate and interact cross-functionally with multiple levels of management. Able to excel with time constraints and rapid turnaround situations.

  • Flexible, innovative and the ability to manage time and priorities in a fast paced, time-critical environment while being personal and professional. Ability to work under pressure on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines with frequent interruptions and redefined priorities. Self-starter with ability to be a strong team player and work independently.

  • Must have excellent facilitation skills, very strong follow through abilities and must have strong ownership of projects and issues – drive team to resolutions and delivery.

  • Excellent organization and time-management skills; results oriented, detail oriented, strong sense of urgency, proactive and flexible.
