Summary:The Tax Analyst is responsible for helping WOW! ensure compliance in allaspects of transaction tax liabilities by filing accurate and timely taxreturns and other reports across the states WOW! operates in pursuant tofederal, state, and local rules and regulations.Duties and Responsibilities:Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to thoselisted below:* Prepare transaction tax returns (e.g., sales and use, business andoccupation, gross receipts, telecommunications) and remittances formonthly, quarterly and annual filings* Prepare and remit TRS and E911 fees* File returns and tax payments/deposits via electronic and paper filingmethods* Gather tax data electronically from billing systems and accounting softwarefor preparation of tax return detail and backup* Assist in the maintenance of the tax calendar and maintain tax calendars toensure that commitments are timely met* Assist with information requests for state and local audits* Assemble and mail all estimated tax payments, extensions and income taxreturns* Administer document retention and filing processes* Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements* Build and maintain relations with other key departments includingaccounting, treasury, legal, internal audit, human resources, andthe regional offices* Contribute to special projects as necessar* Prepare account reconciliations of transaction tax general ledger accounts* Assist with the follow-up and resolution of tax notices and correspondencefrom federal, state and local tax authoritiesQualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential duty satisfactorily.
