Are you ready to accelerate your career and leverage your leadership in a fast-paced retail environment? We are currently looking for General Manager Trainees to join our dynamic company! As a Kum and Go General Manager Trainee, you will work closely with experienced General Managers and Supervisors to assist with attracting, retaining, and developing store talent to achieve the highest levels of service to our valued Kum & Go customers. This position will also understand and execute the Company Vision through standard operating procedures and day-to-day store operations, which includes managing the store’s profit & loss statement and asset management (ensuring store/property are in great condition). The General Manager Trainee will partner with the store team to achieve our vision of becoming the #1 Convenience Retailer by 2021.
Other responsibilities include:
Coaching and developing a successful team of associates that consistently meet our customers’ needs and lead by example.
Motivating the store team to execute store goals.
Perform daily and weekly administrative functions, including book work, bank deposits, competitive price surveys, order process, purchasing and researching out of stock merchandise.
Build knowledge, proficiency, and ownership in food.
Respond to the needs and requests of clients and Kum & Go management and staff in a professional and expedient manner.
Promote the Kum & Go vision and values internally and externally.
Exhibits professionalism in appearance, conduct and judgment
High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor degree preferred.
Previous experience leading a team and P& L experience required.
Minimum Skills and/or Knowledge Required:
Proficient computer skills (Excel/Word)
Ability to understand and utilize financial and operational data
Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to adapt to change
Ability to multi-task while maintaining high detail orientation
Strong drive for success
Broad availability to include nights, weekends, and holidays
