Build an understanding of the Clinician healthcare market segment user needs for Truven Health, build a product strategy that supports continued growth based upon market needs. Manages assigned solution(s) in various stages throughout the product lifecycle.
Establishes and maintains relevant connection to the market. Works with Sales team to meet product targets. Collaborates cross functionally with product delivery and launch teams to ensure the solution(s) delivered to market meet the requirements and expectations established by the market.

Identify market problems, looking for unsolved problems that are both urgent and pervasive and that people are willing to pay to solve.

Monitor and analyze solution metrics to assess how well solutions perform, including actual to planned revenue, usage stats, operations SLAs, customer satisfaction, market share and product profitability.

Capture "Voice of the Customer" for use in innovation strategy and planning future solution enhancements.
*
Define Solution Vision that supports strategic plan
*
Conduct market research on users around a specific solution innovation and describe the solution to be offered to the market, including solution positioning and market messaging for key buyers.
*
Prepare business cases for proposed solutions, providing an objective analysis of a potential new market opportunity to be used as a basis for investment decisions.
*
Develop/oversee release plans showing key stage gate milestones for each project, working with development to deliver on those plans
*
Create market-facing roadmaps to communicate vision.
*
Evaluate buy/build/partner opportunities for extending our solutions, including business cases to support the recommendation and ongoing management of the partnerships.

Champion user centered design, ensuring that our solutions are based on best practices
*
Create Market Requirements documents that communicates what problem we are solving and who we are solving it for
*
Plan and deliver solution training to internal staff to support launch.
*
Manage customer commitments for capabilities not currently part of a production release.
*
Manage customer advisory groups around specific markets / solutions to discuss existing solutions and future innovation ideas.
*
Support RFP responses and product support for sales
Qualifications
*
Experience delivering new innovations to the market, including product management, marketing, and financial concepts.
*
Minimum of 3-5 years professional industry experience within the hospital market.
*
Ability to effectively and persuasively communicate at all levels of the organization.
*
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and influence others and resolve conflict.
*
Strong organizational and project management skills.
*
Demonstrated ability to drive and deliver results.
*
Basic understanding of technology and its use in the healthcare market; understanding of clinical workflow and processes preferred.

Ability to travel to customer and prospect sites, as well as trade shows.
*
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field required; Master’s degree in business preferred. Clinical degree desirable.
