Electrical Controls EngineerMusts: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university inEngineering or related; and four to six years related experience and/ortraining in controls engineering; or an equivalent combination of a minimumof eight years of education and/or experience. To perform this jobsuccessfully, an individual should be proficient in RS Logix 500/5000Design software or similar; Networking capabilities with Internetsoftware; Microsoft Office 2010: to include moderate knowledge withExcel, Word and Outlook. Incumbent will also utilize PLC, HMI and VDFprogramming and troubleshooting.Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsCurrent Driver's License and ability to obtain an US Passport if necessaryProfessional Engineering (P.E.) License preferred, but not requiredSkills: Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents,logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to applymathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution,determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance,correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.Duties: Design and analyze control systems, verifying and implementingcode, fixing malfunctions, explaining and providing information, andanalyzing and researching designs by performing the following duties.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesInclude the following; other duties may be assigned. Monitor project controls within discipline. Test, maintain and monitor control systems design criteria. Participate in reviewing and checking designs, drawings and data byother Controls Designer. Perform overall systems design and engineering tasks. Plan and conduct independent work requiring judgment in theevaluation, selection, application and adaptation of engineeringtechniques, procedures and criteria. Develop clear and concise operator instruction manuals. Develop and execute regular engineering processes with supportingdocumentation. Plan and perform work requiring electronic and mechanical theories andprinciples, and writing specifications. Ability to research and implement what is the best technology evolvingto fit product/industry needs. Work with the Electrical Department to schedule electrical projects,test and troubleshoot. Ability to understand programing languages and systems, control logicand control processes. Ability to write programs and codes. Manage the design and installation of electrical equipment includingelectrical power distribution systems, PLC s, instrumentation,variable speed AC and DC drives. Design calculations and prepare equipment or material specifications forelectrical and electronic based systems.Pay: $Depending on Experience.
