Oracle Cloud Service Delivery Manager in Longmont, Colorado

Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.

As a Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 3 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 7 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database/tools. Ability to implement the most advanced product features. Thorough knowledge of system and application design. In depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Ability to travel as needed. A/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.

The Mission

Your mission is to work with Oracle slargest ISV partners on migration strategies to move their IP to Oracle PublicCloud (OPC) and to develop their next generation SaaS offerings on the OPC. You will work with internal Oracle Cloudoffering teams, including Product Management and Development, to craft highlyscalable, flexible and resilient production cloud architectures that addresscustomer business problems and accelerate the adoption of OPC services. In collaboration with ISV sales, you willdrive revenue growth across a broad set of customers, help our customersaccelerate adoption of OPC IaaS and PaaS e.gCompute, Storage, Java as a Service, Database as a Service and successfullymigrate the ISV partner s applications from on premise or cloud deployments to OPCservices.

Department Description:

The Worldwide ISV Sales Engineeringteam is the pre-sales engineering team supporting ISV & OEM partnerbusiness within Oracle. Thisorganization is focusing ISV & OEM partners that integrate/embed Oracletechnologies into their products, applications & solutions deployed in thecloud and/or on premise at customer, partner or Oracle locations.



Responsibilities & Qualifications:

  • In partnershipwith the sales and pre-sales teams, formulate and execute a strategy to migrateISV applications from on-prem or cloud deployments to OPC services.

  • As a trusted customer advocate, you will help ISVs understand best practices around advanced cloud-based solutions, and how to migrate existing production workloads to the cloud.

  • Working with theISV pre-sales team and development to develop a production architecture tomigrate the ISV applications into production environments on OPC.

  • Work with the ISVto develop a statement-of-work and project plan to deploy the ISVapplication(s) to production on OPC, tracking and reporting progress to keystake holders. Work with CxO and VP levels to align statement-of-work tomeeting business goals and timelines

  • Coordinate thework activities of a remote team of Migration Specialists to complete tasksidentified in the statement-of-work

  • Develop anenablement plan to transfer knowledge to ISV on best practices to install,configure and manage OPC services.

  • Act as atechnical liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support.

  • Develop a deepexpertise in the Oracle Cloud technology offerings as well as broad know-howaround how applications and services are constructed using the Oracle Cloudplatform.

  • Help lead andgenerate excitement and usage of Oracle Public Cloud services across various ISVpartners segments.

  • Passion: Working with top ISV partners: educating,training, designing, and building cloud computing systems for some of thelargest and most important organizations in the world.* *

Qualifications:

  • Projectmanagementexperience coordinating activities of a virtual remote team, salesand pre-sales engineers

  • Have owned or atleast been involved in the platforming choices and decisions having beenthrough the on-premise to Cloud journey

  • Experiencemigrating to or architecting micro-services cloud solutionsand/or containersor has built such green-field cloud native applications desirable

  • Experiencebuilding or migrating SaaS applications and/or PaaS cloud services on anypopular platform e.g. Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Salesforce.com.

  • Experiencemigrating IP from on-premise to the cloud and/or experience architecting anddeveloping a next generation SaaS offering.

  • Experience withTerraform,Hudson, Chef, Puppet,and/or scripting languages (Python, Perl, etc.) scriptingapplication deployments into cloud platforms (i.e.,. orchestration)

  • Experience withAgile methodology, using industry standard cloud development practices anddev/ops tooling

  • Strong speakingand presentation skills - Formal presentations, white boarding, large and smallgroup presentations.

  • Technical andcustomer-facing skills that will allow them to be the technical interfacebetween Oracle Cloud teams and partner.

  • 4-year, nice tohave : Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent. Advanced degree highly desirable, PMP orequivalent certification is highly desirable

  • Willingness totravel up to 50%and ability to work autonomously is highly desired.
