JOB SUMMARY The Customer Service Representative is responsible for supporting NordsonMedical's customers through accurate order processing and best in classcustomer support.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Answers incoming customer calls or routes customer questions * Enters customer orders (catalogs, product, product samples) intoIFS, received via mail, facsimile, e-mail or telephone * Operates phone system; hold, page, speaker phone, voicemail, etc. * Captures, posts, and reports authorized credit card transactions * Enters customer support issues into the Enterprise Resource Planning(ERP) software, resolves or escalates customer support issues * Reviews and interprets accounts receivable status for order approvalpurposes * Assists Technical Support and answers general technical related customerquestions * Provides customer quotes as needed to assist Sales Associates * Maintains an understanding of the online ordering process to support onlinecustomer issues * Works on special projects, including sales support, as requested bysupervisor * All other duties as assignedEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS * High School Diploma or equivalent * Minimum of 1-3 years customer service or telemarketing work experience,or the equivalent combination of education and experience.SKILLS & ABILITIES * Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customerservice, action-oriented mindset * Exceptional teamwork, interpersonal and relationship building skills * Must have strong typing skills along with accuracy * Ability to read, write & comprehend simple instructions, shortcorrespondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information inone-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of theorganization. * Basic math skills. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such asdiscounts, interest, commissions etc. * Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concretevariables in situations where only limited standardization exists. * Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written,oral, diagram or schedule form * Basic data entry skills * Ability to remain calm and courteous in tense situations * Proficient in use and navigation of Windows operating system in a networkedenvironment. Functional understanding of Outlook E-mail, Word and Excel.Internet navigation proficiency. * Familiarity with ISO 9001 procedures preferredWORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDSOffice environment.
