Community Options Residential support assistant in MONTROSE, Colorado

Position:Residential Support AssistantDuties:1. Provide services and support as identified in each assigned IndividualService Plan (ISP). This may include Behavioral Support Services.2. Interact with individuals and staff at all times with appropriate voicetone, level and pitch, language used, gestures and physical movements incompliance with individual rights while at all times respecting the rights ofindividuals and staff.3. Function as an assistant to provide formal and informal training andassistance in activities of daily living: dressing, bathing, eating,cooking, menu planning, cleaning, etc.4. Function as an assistant to provide formal and informal training andassistance with social interaction skills: talking, writing, leisureactivities, behavior toward self and others, etc.5. Supervise the administration of medications according to state of Coloradoapproved guidelines.6. Use agency vehicles to transport individuals to and from communityoutings/activities and scheduled appointments as required.7. Attend work as scheduled which includes mandatory training sessions,staff meetings and meetings with managers.8. Comply with all duties, policies, procedures, protocols and otherwritten or verbal directives.9. Provide supervision and support to individuals in community settings.10. Accurately and legibly complete all skill training, progress notes,personal care, medication administration records and other work relateddocuments. Participate in the development and writing of developmental ISP's.11. Accurately and legibly complete all time sheets, leave requests,accident/incident reports, etc. on time.12. Ensure a healthy, clean and safe living environment.13. Observe clients for signs of illness or changes in health, demeanor andbehavior and report as per protocols.14. Other duties as assigned.Requirements:1. High school diploma, GED or 1-1/2 years of appropriate experience.2. Have and maintain valid Colorado driver s license.3. Good driving record (acceptable to company s insurance carrier).4. Acceptable criminal background checks.5. Successful completion of Medication Administration Course, First Aid andCardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (within 90 days of hire).6. Physical requirements:- Ability to perform required tasks and operate machinery andequipment and use tools as needed- Ability to lift or transfer 50 lbs alone, and up to 100 lbs withassistance- Ability to carry at least 25 lbs- Ability to push/pull up to 100 lbs- Ability to reach, stoop, kneel and squat- Ability to work with hands and manipulate fingersWage:1. $9.30 per hour (plus, depending on experience and qualifications).2. This position is nonexempt and is eligible for overtime pay.Benefits:1. Annual leave.2. Sick leave.3. Medical and life insurance are available.Days and Hours:1. Part time, 24 hours per week.2. Overtime may be required.3.
