Work Location - Denver, CO

This role will serve as the primary communications interface to customer providing day-to-day updates and warehouse activity. Additionally this role will interface locally with customer personnel to manage NPI activities and coordinate product changes with customer and RR Donnelley. Supporting the physical activity in a new start up warehouse such as creating inventory locations, support floor layout for shipping and receiving lanes and process inbound and outbound orders. Employees performing the role of Warehouse Coordinator would be a resident at the customer location.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Main point of contact with the customer and RRD Aurora IL co-located in the Customers warehouse facility in Denver. Able to effectively communicate to upper management and co-workers and deliver on reporting and KPI’s. 

  2. Account Coordination:

  • Drives to customer internal production, lead time and inventory goals.

  • Attends various customer meetings as necessary and assume various team roles as required to support customer account.

  • Must be able to interpret and communicate forecast.

  • Must be able to think strategically about program initiatives and various business situations.

  • Must be available outside of normal working hours to handle communications with international contacts.

  • Must be able to professionally and effectively interface with customer as well as multiple RRD entities, while simultaneously serving as the customer advocate while representing and supporting RRD’s interests in all interactions.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively, clearly and diplomatically to both customer and RRD entities.

  • Must be able to effectively follow escalation process.

  • Operate within customers Inventory & order management system.

  • Generate work instructions for customer product configurations and work with customer development team for training. Technically able to follow work instructions. 

    Functions supported:

    1. NPI interface and management 2. Management of Art files and proofs- not needed 3. Construction of NPI preliminary BOMs no needed 4. Packaging design coordination, prototyping and costing not needed 5. Contracts, pricing and commercial issues not needed 6. CI and innovation initiatives 7. Business reviews

3. Inventory Control:

+ Generate and distribute all cycle counts.

+ Plan, prioritize, and delegate inventory control efforts.

+ Determine items on counting schedule for daily inventory counts.

+ Count inventory.

+ Operate Order Picker and Forklift to count and verify reachable inventory.

  • Compile, print, and evaluate variance reports.

  • Research inventory variances through system inquiries and paperwork trails.

  • Evaluate root cause variances and propose resolutions.

  • Understand material and information flow in all processes.

  • Count material in WIP (Work in Progress).

  • Physically receive product shipped inbound and locate into inventory physically & systematically

  • Ship product out per order request physically & systematically

  • Performs other duties as assigned by RR Donnelley Management.

Required Experience

The position requires an Associate’s Degree; or 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Requires excellent knowledge of functional area(s) related to the job or good knowledge related to a professional field of work. Able to consistently apply applicable policies, procedures, regulations, and program objectives when carrying out the duties of the job. Must have advanced knowledge of technology to include computers and software programs such as MS Office or MAC word processing, spreadsheets or other programs specific to the job in order to complete job duties successfully. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively across departments when completing assignments.

Must have strong organizational skills with ability to manage deadlines and prioritize workload and make adjustment to meet business needs.

Ability to work in a new start up environment, taking all initiatives needed to successfully grow with the customer.
