The Registered Nurse (RN) will support the mission of NSMC by providing acomforting, safe andhealing environment for patients and their families. The RN must be able todemonstrate advanced knowledge and skillsnecessary to provide care for his/her patients. The RN may rotate to otherareas other than his/her normally assignedservice area/s. Those departments and service areas may require specializedskills, and the RN will perform only thoseduties for which he/she has demonstrated competency The delivery of care isbased on criteria that is age appropriate andis based on the physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety and learningneeds of the individual patient. The Registered Nurseperforms delegated duties consistent with his/her scope of practice andfunctions within the philosophy and overall planof care delivery at NSMC. The RN must have the capacity to foster a positivework environment, be professional and displaypositive support of NSMC as well as the entire HealthONE organization. The RNcares for patients ranging in age fromadolescents to geriatrics. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current Registered Nurse licensein the State of Colorado. Current BLSCertification. Current ACLS certification preferredEducation: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing, BSN desirable.Experience: One to two years acute care/specialty nursing is desirableKnowledge/Skills/Abilities: Demonstrates good organizational skills,able to articulate and demonstrate knowledgeof nursing theory and practice. Provides safe and appropriate patient carewithin the Standards of Nursing Practiceat NSMC. Displays appropriate judgement and problem solving skills.Communicates positively and professionallywith all internal and external customers.
