Ensures research protocol is followedand that all related activities are performed per contract, sponsor,organizational standards and Institutional Review Board (IRB) guidelines.ResponsibilitiesPOPULATION SPECIFIC CARENoneOther InformationESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSAn employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of thefollowing essential functions. These examples do not include all of thefunctions which the employee may be expected to perform.1. Coordinates all aspects of research activities as relevant to assignedresearch studies2. Serves as the primary administrative liaison for all aspects of assignedworkload; including feasibility/start-up, implementation, screening,enrollment, data abstraction, reporting and query resolution, specimencollection/processing thru close-out.3. Develops and maintains compliant research documents and documentation4. Completes data entry associated with assigned research studies5. Ensures that study protocol is followed and all research-related activitiesare performed per CHCO standard operating procedure, sponsor, FDA andInstitutional Review Board (IRB) and other governing body's guidelines.6. Records and reports data as required by the department, IRB and Sponsorand as delegated by the primary investigator7. Submit studies for Research Institute approval in a timely manner andprovides updates to the study team regarding status throughout the startupprocess.8. Assists regulatory staff with IRB preparation and submission9. Updates databases/ tracking systems as required for the financial healthof the department; including Kronos time tracking, Patient Visits or CMSsystem, Effort Certification and internal time tracking.10. Attends and maintain documentation of attendance at annual andstudy-specific training/competencies11. Acts as the subject matter and operational expert for assigned researchstudies12. Understands medical terminology and disease etiology of assigned researchstudies13. Builds and maintains positive and collaborative partnerships withcolleagues, leaders, customers, staff and all other internal andexternal personnel14. Prioritizes safety and well-being of all CHCO patients15. Demonstrates a working knowledge of UCD and CHCO Research Infrastructureand CHCO clinical operations16.
