Job ID: 20183003-21435We are seeking a Systems Administrator IV in Aurora CO to support our missioncritical IT systems.JOB DESCRIPTION:This position will be responsible for the following:* Monitors systems to ensure availability to all users and perform necessarymaintenance to support availability. Diagnose hardware problems, and replacedefective components.* Performs data backups and disaster recovery operations. Maintain andadminister computer networks and related computing environments. Monitorperformance of computer systems. Perform routine network startup and shutdownprocedures.* Maintain organization s IT systems infrastructure to include upgrading andinstalling new hardware and software, and supporting upkeep of criticalsystems* Responsible for ITIL related functions to include Incident, Problem,Request, Access, and Change Management. Deploys solutions delivered byTier 3 and MSP providers including patches, maintenance releases, etc.Comfortable configuring hardware, software, etc.* Familiarity with the following a s trong plus: distributed systems,enterprise storage. Schedule necessary AM's and DM's as required; notifystakeholders of releases. Support off hours release of software, patches,IAVA's, etc. Contribute to evolution of configuration management policyand procedures. Review system and machine event and error logs on routinebasis. In event of a system failure provide recovery of services to operationsbased on service level; utilize troubleshooting skills and availableprocedures in restoration of services. Perform daily backup operations,ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed upto the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and mediais recycled and sent off site as necessaryREQUIRED EXPERIENCE:* Bachelor s Degree in Engineering Technology/Computer and a minimum of 8years of skills/experience or, minimum of 6 years of skills/experiencewith a Master s Degree.* Certifications required: 8570 certification (Security +CE).* Clearance required: Active TS/SCI clearance, active poly.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:* Strong communication skills.* Excellent teamwork.SECURITY CLEARANCE:This position requires the candidate to have a current TS/SCI with an activePolygraph.About PeratonPeraton provides innovative, reliable solutions to the nation s mostsensitive and mission-critical programs and systems.
