In this role you will provide leadership, project support,mentoring, and training for Lean Sigma efforts within Plexus EngineeringSolutions. You will assist in the overall strategy development,implementation and adoption of Lean Sigma within Engineering Solutions. Inaddition, you will support senior management in deployment of the Lean Sigmastrategy and performance metrics. You will also use your Lean Sigma knowledgeand project management skills to lead internal improvement projects,realizing tangible value for the organization and Plexus customers.Job Responsibilities * Lead (with management) the deployment and execution of thecontinuous improvement strategy and transformation process and drivecontinuous improvement into all areas of the business. * Lead the development, deployment, and compliance of Lean Sigmatools such as Value Stream Management, Benefit/Effort Analysis, StandardWork, and DMAIC * Influence and educate the organization on the benefits of adopting thelean sigma methodology to ensure better performance. * Coach and mentor all levels of the organization to integrate Lean Sigmaprinciples into their day to day activities to ensure they are key proponentsof Lean Sigma. * Facilitate Lean Sigma events (Kaizen/RIE, VSM, A3, etc.) toensure they are effective. Mentor others in facilitating Lean Sigma events topromote culture change within the organization. * Lead cross functional teams implementing Lean Sigma solutions to ensurethey are effective. * Support the identification and prioritization of Lean Sigmaopportunities to ensure waste is identified and key areas are being addressed. * Support the development of training materials and execution of trainingto enable the entire organization to understand and use the Lean Sigma toolsand methodologies. * Interface with the external Lean Sigma community in order to learn fromother experiences and adjust our approach appropriately. * Develop, update, and own continuous improvement processes,metrics and any associated tools. * Provide project management leadership and direction to continuousimprovement project teams, including developing, managing andcommunicating project schedules; facilitation of team meetings andcommunications; and tracking project progress and financial status * Foster and actively cultivate a culture of continuous improvementacross all levels of the organization through coaching and mentoring,promotion and practical implementation of the Lean Sigma philosophy, supportof and direct participation in continuous improvement activities,application of the tools, and development of curriculum basededucation/learnin * Function as a change agent to aid in the cultural transformation of theorganization. * Work with multi-level leadership teams to clearly understand businessobjectives and priorities to assure continuous improvement efforts and goalsare in alignment with the rest of the organization. * Occasional travel may be required to meet the needs of the business(estimated 25%)Skills & Abilities * Demonstrated mastery of lean and six sigma concepts * Possess an overall understanding of the product development and productrealization processes * Possess project management skills * Ability to create effective schedules and resource estimates * Ability to manage teams and tasks to schedule and budget * Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment * Possess decision-making, change-management and problem-solving skills * Possess communication and presentation skills * Possess conflict resolution and negotiation skillsEducation & Experience * A minimum of a Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience is requiredfor this position. * Industry experience of 5 or more years is desired, assuming educationrequirements are met. * Experience in training execut
