Job ScopeThe Video Operations group is responsible for operating the video ecosystem atSpectrum and is comprised of the following groups: Video Core, VideoSystems, Planning & Implementation and Video Operations Support.The VideoSupport Engineer is responsible for providing support for the resolution ofoutages and service impairments in a 24x7x365 operation for the assignedshift. The Engineer is also responsible for reliable, consistent operationof these systems to provide a quality entertainment and information experiencefor our customers.Duties and Responsibilities * Programming, trouble resolution, operations and maintenance ofsystems, applications and equipment used in the provisioning and delivery ofInteractive Services by providing Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for all videosystems within Charter Communications * Lead and support the four primary functions of the Video Operationsorganization: Gathering and acquiring video content (Acquisition),configuring content and aligning with current systems (Encoding),routing content and ensuring they re in their designated areas(Transport), and ensuring that the video content is provided to theright customers and on time (Delivery) * Responsible for remotely troubleshooting, testing, and maintainingvideo services applications, CDN, and Linear Broadcast services * Monitor surveillance of multiple video systems across multiplegeographical areasSkills & Qualifications * Minimum of 1 to 5 years of experience working with Unix/Linux basedclient/server systems and applications * Minimum of 1 to 5 years of experience performing applicationconfiguration, programming, installation, and maintenance within aSystems Administration capacity * Minimum of 1 to 5 years of experience in maintaining andtroubleshooting video delivery or video applications * Must be able to work various shifts, and be flexible with workschedule * Bachelor s degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university;or equivalent training, education, and experience * Advanced experience working with Unix/Linux operating systems;specifically experience with RedHat, and Solaris * Experience leading systems and applications support for complex,high-reliability systems and architectures supporting video services orback-offices * Advanced experience and knowledge of VOD systems including AMS,catchers, caches, streamers and associated VOD back-offices * Advanced experience and knowledge of Conditional Access controllerssuch as Cisco DNCSs and Arris DACs * Advanced experience and knowledge of Switched Digital Video systemsfrom vendors such as Arris and Cisco * Operational experience with building, grooming, and troubleshootingvarious linear and NextGen/OTT/TVE encoding and transcoding platforms suchas Envivio, Harmonic, Imagine, Arris, and Ericsson. * Advanced understanding and experience with Cisco DCMs, ArrisCAP/DM6400 Cherry Pickers, BMRs, Imagine BNPs and APEX1k-3k. * Understanding of Content Delivery Networks (CDN) along with theapplicable support and delivery methods over IP involving HLS & SmoothStreaming technologies. * Background in performing and implementing network, telecom or videosystems troubleshooting or implementation a must. * Knowledge with video monitoring tools, and video deliveryarchitecture required.Preferred Qualifications Ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of Video OR Systems Engineeringexperience Direct experience and expert knowledge of MSO back office systems such asMystro and Spectrum Working experience within Telecommunications industry Ability to lead team of Video Support Engineers in troubleshootingJob ScopeThe Software Engineer participates in the planning, design, development,implementation, and execution of innovative application and platformsolutions related to security, service delivery, datacenter and servicedesk management, OSS, and BSS systems.Duties & Responsibilities: * Defines site objectives by analyz
