Travelport, LP Project Analyst I Campus in Centennial, Colorado

This position is a Project Analyst resource within the Technology GlobalService Delivery (GSD) organization to support delivery of complextechnology projects by working within clearly defined project managementdisciplines and processes. The Project Analyst will perform assigned projectmanagement activities to ensure the control and governance required to delivera project scope on time and on budget.Main Accountabilities: * Contributes to a project. Takes responsibility for a set of tasks tohelp initiate, plan, execute, control, and/or close a project. * Responsible for planning and executing logistics for Program Incrementevents across multiple locations on a regular cadence throughout the year. * Understands individual role and responsibility. Learns work group sroles and responsibilities as they relate to the GSD organization and thebroaderTravelport. * Develops basic understanding of the End to End Delivery Model processand tools. * Learns how to produce one or more deliverables associated with projectdelivery at Travelport. * Regularly exhibits ability to complete individual tasks with reducingsupervision. * Demonstrates analytical ability to resolve problems / recommendsolutions. * Identifies ways to improve efficiencies in working practices anddemonstrates initiative to implement changes. * Proactively follows-up with team members and solicits input to maintainprogress towards goals, solve problems or discuss new ideas/methods. * Identifies when/how to escalate issues to manager to ensure projectwork complies to applicable Travelport standards and policies, including themaintenance of required artifacts * Champion the project work within Travelport, ensuring formal andinformal communication is maintained * Builds expertise in cost management, operational budgets,schedules, metrics and staffing requirements. * Operates efficiently in matrix organization eg: schedules meetingstaking account of time zonesKnowledge, Skills, Experience, Training, Education * 4 year degree or equivalent in Project Management - PM Foundationessential or Business with a PM concentration * 0 - 2+ years experience in activities with exposure to projectmanagement disciplines including strong administrative, analytic and excelskills * Familiar with Project Management tools eg: MS Project * Asks questions and expresses concerns when priorities and goals areunclear. * Demonstrates ability to make effective decisions despite incompleteinformation * Assumes ownership for results including issues or problems,acknowledges own mistakes. * Understanding of working in Agile delivery model preferable, inparticular knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) * Preferably knowledge of Travel Technology industryContext/Environment: * Matrixed global organization * Office based (may be occasional travel)Key Measures: * Demonstrates ability to produce assigned work elements in line with theEnd to End Delivery Model process using the advocated tools. * Applies and deepens knowledge of project management principles,theories and concepts to complete assignments of defined and supervised scope. * Effective use of tools on the job * Timely achievement of quality deliverables * Effective prioritization of assignments * Professional communication style * Ability to develop networks across department / wider organization * Collaborates effectively in a multi-cultural environment.Equal Employment Opportunity: Travelport strives to foster a workenvironment in which all individuals are treated with respect and dignity.
