Job Description:

This position is primarily responsible for the vendor and internal customer relationship management team in the Accounts Payable Shared Service function. Working under the direction of the Accounts Payable Manager, this role is part of the team responsible for customer service in the AP transactional processing organization. The ideal candidate will possess active leadership skills and participate in process reviews analyzing root cause and formulating possible improvements to processes, and ensure customer issues/concerns are resolved timely and accurately on a day to day basis.

Responsibilities:

-Performs day to day transactional/project tasks. Implement metrics to measure performance and drive improvements in daily operations.

-Strives to maintain efficiency and quality in the work setting evaluating current business practices. Seeks ways to improve productivity, reduce costs, and make the best use of the business's resources.

-Support development of departmental policies and practices; promote and train utilizing best practices.

-Implement smooth, speedy and efficient workflow in all areas of the department. Ensure successful implementation and ongoing maintenance and support. Perform special studies and projects to improve processes and procedures.

-Develop and manage department training and quality assurance/control.

  • Manage and monitor issue tracking system including development, enhancements, process design and system procedure guides.

-Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration with 3 to 5 years experience. Advanced understanding of Accounts Payable tools and processes and extensive experience with AP Vendor Inquiry resolution.

Demonstration of strong teambuilding skills with self-motivation, problem solving abilities, team spirit and a \"hands on\" mentality. Must possess a high level of verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to work under pressure in an analytical and systematic manner. Have the ability to work to meet project and operational deadlines and to work tight timelines as required.

Knowledge, expertise or significant exposure to major ERP application (i.e. SAP, Oracle, Lawson, PeopleSoft, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:
