Work location is at the MissileDefense Integration and Operations Center (MDIOC), Schriever AFB, CO.Provide a daily training opportunity for Warfighters by operating theDistributed Training System Simulation & Stimulation (DTS Sim/Stim)that interfaces with the Command Control Battle Management Communicationssystem (C2BMC) and the Ground Based Mid-course Defense (GMD) SystemsTrainer (GST). This position must also coordinate a variety of issues toinclude starting and stopping training events with Warfighters andcoordinating daily activities with DTS teammates to include personneloperating C2BMC, GST, and other internal and external elements asrequired. All operations must be recorded in an events log and consistentmetrics must be maintained. Operator must be able to work well within a smallteam of two to four personnel. A training program is provided but does notcover every situation therefore, the operator must be able to overcomeobstacles. DTS is expected to operate three shifts across days, swings,& mids during a Mon - Fri work week. Candidate must be willing and able towork off hour shifts as part of a scheduled crew rotation between days andnights. Time may be flexed to accommodate pay schedules but normally wouldnot exceed 40 hrs per week. There may be occasions when the normal scheduledoperating times may vary and occasional weekends may be required based on theneeds of the Warfighter and the availability of resources. The individualwill work closely with a mission-focused team that plans, conducts, andsupports missile defense training events for the Missile Defense Agency(MDA), the Warfighter, and other missile defense stakeholders. Someevents may feature Warfighter Operator-In-The-Loop (OITL) participation,and include developmental missile defense system elements or simulations.QualificationsThe candidate must be able to learn to operate a Linux based system. Must beable to adapt to short term deadlines and work well under pressure. Theability to communicate effectively with multiple organizations using a broadspectrum of tools and to communicate complex concepts, issues, and statusto senior contractor and government leadership is a must.
