The position assists all levels of theoperation in establishing and achieving quality objectives while workingclosely with both operations and management.Responsibilities:1. Ensure all aspects of his/her role are executed in a safe manner. Obeyssafety guidelines when on construction sites and Martin Marietta operations.2. Establish the environment as a priority in daily activities and act as asteward to the environment. Demonstrate a commitment to meet or exceedenvironmental compliance.3. Ensure good customer relations. Must be able to communicate effectivelywith customers. Provides customer support in resolving quality concerns andproblems in the field working with the QC Manager. Educates customers inproper construction techniques and application of products. Assist salesmen,drivers and managers as required.4. Prepare and perform formulation tests that support the creation,development and improvement of new and existing standard, premium,performance and specialty mixes. Perform lab duties including preparing andrunning lab formulation trials, testing and data logging. Perform anddocument quality control tests in accordance with established local (Cityand State) and national standards (ACI, ASTM, AASHTO). Conductquality control tests without supervision and within the precision standardsestablished by ASTM, ACI, and AASHTO. Maintain a log book of all testingconducted at the lab, plant and on-site. Assist in environmentalstewardship, ensuring the environment is protected within our operations.5. Assist in the investigation and testing of new raw material sources andproducts. Ensure quality materials through the active testing of rawmaterials.
