Job Summary

The qualified candidate will be required to develop, test and deploy technical solutions for endpoint hardware and software across the enterprise while ensuring compatibility with existing solutions. Provide high level solutions for Mac and Windows systems including custom packages, scripts, and program development. Lead the creation and deployment of a smart card or multifactor authentication implementation for Mac and Windows systems. Help develop or mature processes for software deployment, OS deployment, and security patching. Work with staff to evaluate and approve new client hardware that meets the requirements of the laboratory for usability, security, and energy efficiency. Work independently and in a team environment.

Job Duties include, but are not limited to :

  • Create, test, package,and deploy software and scripts across Windows and Mac environment.

  • Develop, deploy, and maintain smart card or multifactor authentication login process for Mac and Windows systems.

  • Help mature existing Mac and Windows software and OS deployment methods.

  • Provide enterprise level hardware evaluations to determinestandards for client computing.

  • Provide Tier 3 support to end user and support staff. Answer questions and solving problems related to hardware and software. Remotely administer client systems to apply configurations and assist users.

  • Help with the creation of Software and Hardware standards to be used across the enterprise.

  • Assistwith ITS and Enterprise projects as requested. Collaborate with other teams as needed to ensure successful completion of projects.

  • Develop documentationand training for support staff regarding standard software, hardware, and procedures.

  • Providebackup to Audio Visual Engineer.

  • Ability to pass background checkrequired for DOE HSPD-12 badge

Required Education, Experience, and Skills

Relevant Bachelor's Degree and 5 or more years of experience or equivalent relevant education/experience. Or, relevant Master's Degree and 3 or more years of experience or equivalent relevant education/experience. Or, relevant PhD or equivalent relevant education/experience. Complete understanding and wide application of principles, concepts and techniques in specific field. General knowledge of related IS disciplines. Strong leadership and project management skills. Skilled in analytical techniques, practices and problem solving. Advanced programming, design and analysis abilities with various computer software programs and information systems.
