181138 VLSI - Senior Design & Verification Engineer (Open)Seagate, the leader in Storage Solutions, has an exciting opportunity forSenior Engineer. This position is based out of Longmont, CO. The SeniorEngineer is responsible for RTL Design and verification for a wide range ofproprietary ASIC's used in our World Class line of HDD, HDD-Hybriddrives, SSD Drives, and other cutting-edge, innovative products.The Senior Engineer will conceive and develop solutions to engineeringprograms through the application of professionally accepted engineeringtechniques, practices and procedures. The successful candidate will have theability to work with many Seagate technical teams which handle variousresponsibilities including: silicon verification, co-simulation, SoCintegration, firmware, and electrical integration departments. Thecandidate may also interface with ASIC vendors and other IP suppliers.Responsibilities include:Definition, design, verification and documentation for ASIC IP development.Determines architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.Defines module interfaces and formats for simulation.Provides support to firmware, co-simulation, ASIC integration and otherusers of the design or verification IP.May also review vendor capability to support development.Timely execution of the tasks to hit the project milestones.REQUIREMENTS:Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluationof identifiable factors.Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtainingsolutions.Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinateactivities of other personnel.ASIC Verilog based RTL design and System Verilog based design verificationexperience and abilities.Experience with 28nm or 16nm semiconductor technologies.Five to eight (5 - 8) years of directly related experience in this fieldwith Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering orrelated field.Excellent communication skills, ability to work on multiple products andmultiple projects at various stages of the design lifecycle simultaneously,ability to work with teams in several geographic locations throughout theWorldPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Three to five (3 - 5) years of directly related experience with Master'sdegree or zero to two (0 - 2) years of directly related experience withPhD degExperience with UVM methodologyExperience with logic timing constraints, synthesis, DFT, and CDCrequirements.Job Level Guide:Job Family: Engineering ProfessionalSeagate Technology is committed to equal opportunity in employment andwelcomes applications from all sections of the community, irrespective ofsex, marital status, religious affiliation, age, disability, veteranstatus, or ethnic origin
