To maximize beverage sales while observing all liquor laws andcompany policies and regulations.Job Responsibilities:Display good customer relation skills and takes initiative to greet guests ina friendly manner.Exercise good public and customer relations skills at all times.Dispense alcoholic beverages and controls service to ensure customers do notbecome intoxicated in accordance with liquor and hotel and company policiesand regulations.Prepare drink orders per specified receipts and charge for such orders as theyare prepared in the appropriate manner.Comply with all liquor laws, health regulations, and company policies.Perform side duties such as cleaning, garnish preparation, miscellaneouspreparation, stocking, etc. Lift and carry heavy items, such as trays.Set up and maintain cleanliness and condition of bar, wash and sanitizeglasses and utensils. Clean work area.Ensure all alcohol is removed from counters and tables prior to requiredclosing time. Complete closing duties.Ensure uniform and appearance is clean and professional.Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; reportaccidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to management; completesafety training and certifications. Maintain confidentiality of proprietaryinformation and protect company assets.Count bank at end of shift complete cashier reports, resolve anydiscrepancies, drop off receipts and secure banksIf functioning in a Lead Capacity: (a) take responsibility for assignedemployees in the absence of the Supervisor, (b) assign work, andensures proper performance of assigned employees.Other duties as assigned.Job Skills:Service Orientation Actively looking for ways to help people.Use arithmetic to total costs and make change.Speaking Talking to others to convey information effectivelyActive Listening Giving full attention to what other people are saying,taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions asappropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.Move fingers and hands easily and quickly to handle dishes, money,merchandise, etc.Job Qualifications:EducationHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferred ExperienceSix (6) months prior hospitality experience in food & beverage and/or banquetsLicenses/CertificationsN/A, but must meet state law age requirements for tending bar.
