Prepare daily manning sheet, input nightly outbound numbers and project work force for supervisors review
Work closely with shipping clerk to ensure all routes are being completed and invoiced in accordance with dispatch times.
Assist with any and all shipping departments ie. selection, replenishment, loading, etc.
Ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to
Promote and participate in the Safety program to include the creation and enforcement of all Safe Work Methods, PPE's.
Answer Phones in Operation Office.
Other duties as assigned.
High school equivalency required, with two years college preferred
Warehouse, distribution, shipping, knowledge required
Minimum one (1) year experience in warehouse. Administrative background preferred
Good oral and written communication skills, ability to organize and prioritize workload, work well with all levels of associates and detail oriented
Safety conscience at all times
Previous experience operating warehouse equiptment., ie,pallet jacks, forklifts
Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook
AS400 software experience preferred.
Bi-lingual, Spanish and English a plus
Problem resolution skills required.
Must be able to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a fast paced warehouse environment.
Food Service Industry product knowledge preferred.
Ability to pass a background investigation and drug test.
Frequent moving/standing/sitting for prolonged periods of time.
Constant use of both arms/hands while reaching/handling/grasping while using phone, record data, computer entry, compiling information, etc.
Frequent stand/walk within office or warehouse areas.
Frequent bend/twist at waist/knees to and from seated position while performing routine warehouse functions.
Occasionally climb stairs (some locations) to and from work areas.
Occasional lifting up to 70 lbs.
Constant use of visual, speech and hearing abilities necessary to perform essential functions.
Able to handle a high volume/quantity workload at a fast pace to meet required deadlines.
Ability to handle last minute changes/corrections and customers over phone.
Organize/prioritize workload with accuracy and efficiently.
Must be detail-oriented, have mathematical abilities and be accurate in mathematical calculations.
Good interpersonal skills required which includes, contact with drivers/co-workers/supervisors/managers and customers.
Must possess both oral/written communication skills.
Within warehouse setting.
Work stresses include heavy workload and dealing with deadlines under frequent interruption.
Work in refrigerated and frozen warehouse for short periods of time.
