Nutrien Financial is a new business line for Nutrien, we are looking for an entrepreneurial Sr Analyst to help design, implement and advance our Credit and Loan systems and processes. Reporting to the Business Systems Manager, Nutrien Financial, this position will be responsible for gathering business requirements and designing processes that will support a quickly growing area of the enterprise. The position will be instrumental in standing up the supporting systems for Nutrien Financial and will liaise between the business teams (Accounting, Finance, Accounts Receivable, and Inventory) and IT members to ensure progress of our business systems priorities.

A successful person in this role will be excited by building something new in the agricultural market.

Key Tasks:

  • Gain detailed understanding of the Retail Credit Structure in both North America and Australia. With that understanding evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for process and Credit system improvement.

  • Establish an understanding of the overall Nutrien Financial market strategy. Once established perform business requirement analysis on in flight projects to ensure alignment with the strategy.

  • Provide design enhancements and requirements into the Credit and Loan portion of the Nutrien Digital project. These innovative ideas will drive employee & customer adoption of the platform.

  • Assist in identifying new Credit and Loan systems that will be used throughout the global enterprise.

  • Once the Credit and Loan systems are identified learn the details of each system component. Understand how it impacts the North American Retail Credit team as compared to the Wholesale Credit functions.

  • While gathering Credit and Loan system requirements this role will conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and ensure impacted teams from the business and IT are aligned. These meetings will help ensure less confusion around the projects and provide a better set of requirements for the solution.

  • Communication across this new and growing team is critical, the role will produce detailed presentations that contain progress updates, decisions that are required, training, etc. providing consistent communication and knowledge across the team.

  • During the Credit and Loan system integration phase and post stand up the role must maintain relationships within Nutrien IT and Collaborate with various IT teams. These relationships will be critical to progress any system enhancements.

  • Once Credit and Loan system enhancements are delivered help coordinate and perform user acceptance testing providing vital feedback on the accuracy and completeness of the modification.

  • At times this role will be required to lead projects relating the Credit and Loan system improvements. These projects could be of enough size to require project plans, performance monitoring and timeline generation. Management reporting on the progress of these projects will be required.

  • Provide input to the Nutrien Financial team on both short-term and long-term systems portfolio planning to enable the achievement of the Nutrien Financial business strategy.

  • Maintain subject matter expertise for Nutrien Financial systems and maintain knowledge on all new and upcoming technologies throughout the enterprise.

  • Evaluate all supporting Nutrien Financial systems (credit management, loan origination, servicing platform, reporting); recommend improvements and modifications to those systems (via configuration or modification), always with specific goals in mind i.e. to reduce complexity, improve process or automate functions. Lastly, manage or execute strategy through to completion.

  • Systems and control knowledge and can make recommendations on new systems and processes

  • Ability to manage various projects, while prioritizing to achieve the overall objectives

  • Able to collaborate well with others to determine the best approach for the organization

  • Capable of gaining an understanding of the business idea and translating that request into a functional business process within the system/budget constraints

  • Experience assembling work teams that contain representatives from many different departments to formulate a solution to an issue.

  • Effectively communicate insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management

  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business or related field.

  • A minimum of 6 years’ experience in business analysis or a related field.

  • Credit and Loan Systems experience is weighted heavily

  • Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations

  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
