Rite of Passage, Inc. is hiring Coach Counselors for its Ridge View YouthServices facility located in Watkins, CO (Southeast Aurora). Ridge Viewoffers Colorado's at-risk youth a least restrictive, staff-secure AcademicModel program to ensure public safety while promoting a normalized high schoolThe Coach Counselor will provide safety and around-the-clock supervision forjuvenile male students in a residential treatment facility. Position requiresa minimum of 60 hours of college education and/or one (1) year of provenexperience working with at-risk youth. Eligible for benefits after 90 days ofemployment. This position will connect you to a network of career growthopportunities.Two shifts available: A-Shift ( Sun. - 1/2 Wed.) B-Shift (1/2 Wed. - Sat.).Sign on bonus of up to $1,000 available to qualified new hires duringfirst year of employment.Responsibilities:*Adheres to the facility schedule, assists with ensuring that the unit is ontime for all elements and completes daily assignments*Assists with ensuring the daily schedule, including the PM Program,operates on time and the students participate in all of the scheduledactivities as listed on the PM schedule.*Provides encouragement, guidance and resources to the students.*Models and ensures all program norms are upheld without compromise.*Acts as a positive role model and mentor for both staff and students.*Treats others with respect, confronts negative behavior and supportsconfrontations.*Provides consistent interactive supervision of student athletes to ensure thesafety, health and welfare of staff and students at all times.*Ensures proper safe physical management techniques are followed at all times.*Assists other staff members with emergency situations.*Monitors students and prepares Daily Assessment Progress Notes. Completesrequired reports and documentation in a timely manner, provides managementwith required reports and advises of any problematic situations.*Provides feedback and interacts with students during the scheduled GuidedGroup Meetings.*Interacts during and supervises community service events*Assists with student transportation.*Encouraged to participate in at least 50% of the daily physical activitiesrequired of the students, as well as extra-curricular activities.*Ensures the highest standards are maintained to prevent illegal,unethical, or improper conduct and to ensure the program remains incompliance with agency licensing and company policy.Requirements:*Completion of 60 hours of college education and/or one year of provenexperience working with at-risk youth .*If required to operate a company vehicle during the course of employment,must meet the requirements to be an eligible ROP driver.
